600 thousand people face risk of death due to famine
The Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that approximately 600 thousand people in the northern parts of the region are facing the risk of death due to famine.
Following the attack it launched on October 7, 2023, Israel cut off electricity and water supplies to the city, as well as the entry of aid and fuel. According to reports from AA, the humanitarian catastrophe is growing in Gaza, where the number of displaced persons has reached 2 million.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the city reported that approximately 600 thousand people in the northern parts of the region are facing the risk of death due to the spread of diseases and Israeli bombardment, as well as famine.
Ajith Sunghay, the Representative of the Office of the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Human Rights in Palestine, had stated that there are families in the city who spend the day without eating.
The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) had announced that 335 thousand children under the age of five in Gaza are at risk of death due to malnutrition.
