7.0 magnitude earthquake in Kyrgyzstan-Xinjiang border region

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that a 7.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 126 kilometers southeast of the Kizil-Su district, located near the border region of Kyrgyzstan with China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, stating that the earthquake took place at a depth of approximately 28 kilometers.

While people took to the streets due to the earthquake, which was also felt in the capital Bishkek, no loss of life or property has been reported yet.

Following this earthquake, 3 more major aftershocks with magnitudes of 5.4, 5.6, and 5.1 occurred.
