7th round of prisoner exchange completed

The 641 Palestinian prisoners expected to be released on February 22 as part of the seventh round of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel have regained their freedom after a delay.

Following the arrival of the bodies of the last 4 Israeli hostages expected to be handed over in the first phase of the ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement in Gaza, the Palestinian prisoners were also released.

The Palestinian prisoners released from the Ofer Military Prison in the occupied West Bank and the Ketziot Prison in southern Israel were handed over to Red Cross teams.

The Israeli army raided the town of Beitunia in the occupied West Bank before the convoy passed through.

The Red Cross convoy, which left the Ofer Military Prison and arrived in the city of Ramallah in the occupied West Bank, was welcomed by a large crowd in front of the museum in Ramallah that bears the name of the world-renowned Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish.

With the completion of the seventh round of the prisoner exchange after a delay, all 33 Israeli hostages who were to be released in the first phase of the agreement have been handed over, while the number of released Palestinians has risen to 1,776.
