8-person delegation from Turkey heading to Baku

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that they have assigned an 8-person delegation to investigate the Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) passenger plane that crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, during its Baku-Grozny flight.

8-person delegation from Turkey heading to Baku

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu made a statement regarding the AZAL passenger plane that crashed near the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, during its Baku-Grozny flight on December 25, and also shared the information on his social media account X.

Stating that they have assigned an 8-person investigation team from Turkey to examine the crash of the aircraft in question, Uraloğlu said, "Upon the request of the Azerbaijan State Civil Aviation Agency, we have formed an expert delegation to investigate the causes of the accident, conduct technical and operational analyses, and provide the necessary support. Our delegation will work in coordination with local authorities to examine all aspects of the incident and report the findings."

Explaining that the delegation will depart for Baku this evening and begin their work starting tomorrow, Uraloğlu noted the following:

"As Turkey, we state that we stand with Azerbaijan under all circumstances, and we extend our condolences to those who lost their lives and once again convey our best wishes to our Azerbaijani brothers and sisters."
