Aid entry to Gaza blocked
It has been reported that Israel has blocked the entry of aid trucks into Gaza through the Rafah Border Crossing.
In a written statement issued by the Palestine Red Crescent Society, information was provided regarding the announcement made by Israeli forces to all organizations operating at the Rafah Border Crossing, including the Palestine Red Crescent.
The statement noted that Israel has informed them that, effective December 1, it will not permit aid entries from Egypt into Gaza "until further notice" and has requested that aid trucks on the Palestinian side vacate the area as soon as possible. It was further stated that this will exacerbate the suffering of Palestinians and increase the difficulties faced by aid organizations working to alleviate it.
The agreement for a 4-day "humanitarian pause" in the clashes between Israel and Hamas went into effect on Friday, November 24, at 07:00 (08:00 TSI) and was later extended for 3 days.
Hamas had announced that the "humanitarian pause" included the entry of 200 aid trucks and 4 fuel tankers daily to be delivered to all regions of Gaza, in addition to the prisoner exchange.
Within the framework of the prisoner exchange agreement reached between Israel and Hamas, 81 Israeli hostages from the Gaza Strip and 240 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails were released.
The Israeli army resumed its attacks on the Gaza Strip immediately after the "humanitarian pause" ended on December 1.
