Air temperature in the TRNC reached 44 degrees
In Nicosia, the capital of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), the air temperature reached 44 degrees.
According to the report by TAK, thermometers in Nicosia, the capital of the TRNC, showed 44 degrees.
In a statement made by the Meteorological Department, it was warned that the country will remain under the influence of a heatwave until June 7.
The statement noted that the air temperature is expected to be 5-7 degrees above seasonal norms, and it was reported that the temperature is expected to hover around 38-41 degrees in inland areas and 33-36 degrees along the coasts.

WARNING AGAINST FIRE AND HEATSTROKE
The statement, which mentioned the need to be cautious against land and forest fires as well as heatstroke, advised against working under the sun between 12:00 and 16:00.
The statement recorded that the air temperature is expected to drop to around 35-38 degrees in inland areas and 30-33 degrees along the coasts between June 7-10.
