Allegation: Elon Musk funded a group spreading racist propaganda for years: A 'secret' supporter of the far-right?

It has been alleged that US billionaire businessman Elon Musk has long been donating to the far-right group 'Citizens for Sanity' and Republican senators. If the claims are true, Musk may have violated US laws.

According to a report by The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), several people with knowledge of the matter, who wished to remain anonymous, made claims regarding Musk's contributions to the Republican Party.

The individuals stated that Musk donated millions of dollars to people and groups linked to Republican candidate Donald Trump's advisor Stephen Miller and Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis.

Suggesting that these donations were made before Musk publicly announced his support for Trump, the individuals pointed out that Musk has become a significant force in supporting Republicans.

The image above shows a propaganda poster prepared by the Citizens for Sanity group, which Musk is alleged to have funded. The poster reads:

Open the prisons. Open the borders. Close the schools. Vote 'progressive' this November.

DID HE PROVIDE FUNDING TO THE 'CITIZENS FOR SANITY' GROUP?

It was also alleged that Musk donated to the 'Citizens for Sanity' group, which made headlines with its 'provocative' posters and advertisements in 2022.

While it is argued that Elon Musk donated more than 50 million dollars to the group, which has advertisements on controversial topics such as 'immigration and gender identity,' it was stated that this group has ties to Trump's advisor Miller.

The individuals speaking in the report also said that those involved in the donation transactions generally communicated via encrypted messaging applications.

It was also claimed that in 2023, Musk provided approximately 10 million dollars in aid to Florida Governor DeSantis, who was in the presidential race at the time, and that this aid was delivered through a group called 'Faithful and Strong Policies'.

On the other hand, it was alleged that Musk's "fingerprints" were kept away from the transactions through Republican consultants and lawyers.

No statement has been made by Musk or DeSantis regarding the matter yet.
