Allegations of planned attack on drone factory

In Slovakia, police have detained three foreign nationals who were allegedly preparing to attack a drone production facility in the eastern part of the country.

The Slovak National Crime Agency (NAKA), supported by intelligence units, announced that a large quantity of flammable materials, various tools, mobile phones, and an action camera were seized during the operation. It was also reported that a hand-drawn map of the targeted factory was found during the searches.

According to the police statement, it is believed that the attack was planned "at the request of someone." Authorities stated that approximately 70 people work at the production facility and that the attack was intended to be carried out while employees were present at the factory.

It was noted that the total value of the targeted factory's physical assets is in the tens of millions of euros. However, authorities did not disclose the name or exact location of the facility for security reasons.

THIRD SUSPECT APPREHENDED IN GERMANY

As part of the operation, two of the suspects were detained in Slovakia. The third suspect was apprehended in Germany following the swift issuance of an arrest warrant.

The suspects have been charged with preparing to commit a crime against public safety.

It was stated that information provided by the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) and Military Intelligence played a critical role in identifying the suspects. No information was shared regarding the person or organization alleged to have planned or ordered the attack.
