Amazon to invest 5 billion dollars in that country
It has been reported that Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing subsidiary of the US e-commerce giant Amazon, plans to invest more than 5 billion dollars in Mexico over the next 15 years.
In a statement released by Amazon, it was announced that the AWS Mexico Region has been launched, which will allow developers, startups, entrepreneurs, businesses, public sector entities, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations to run their applications and serve end-users from AWS data centers in Mexico.
The statement noted that AWS plans to invest more than 5 billion dollars in Mexico over the next 15 years.
The statement further indicated that the construction and operation of the new region are expected to contribute over 10 billion dollars to the Mexican economy and create more than 7 thousand jobs annually. Additionally, it was noted that a 300 thousand dollar fund will be provided to support local community projects in Queretaro.
