Arab Peoples' Summit rejects Trump's Gaza plan!

Trump's Gaza plan was rejected at the Arab Peoples' Summit held for Palestine.

The non-governmental organization known as the Arab Council organized the "Arab Peoples' Summit" online under the title "From the Balfour Declaration to the Trump Declaration: Palestine is Not for Sale."

The dangers of Trump's Gaza plan were explained in the final declaration of the summit, which saw high participation.

It was stated that US President Trump aims to eliminate the Palestinian presence in Gaza under the pretext of reconstruction.

Furthermore, the declaration noted that US plans are not limited to Gaza but extend to the occupied West Bank, stating that the Trump administration has begun using Hebrew names for the West Bank.

The declaration emphasized that "the conflict in Palestine did not begin on October 7, 2023, but began with the occupation of Palestine, the usurpation of its lands, and the displacement of the Palestinian people, and that resistance is a legitimate right for occupied peoples."

The summit, which also addressed Arab countries, demanded that normalization with Israel be halted, a serious stance be taken against threats, the Palestinian people be supported, and the way be cleared for Arab peoples to support Palestinians financially and politically.

The declaration stated, "The Palestinian cause will continue to be the primary cause of the Arabs, and the Arab peoples will not accept any solution imposed at the expense of the rights of the Palestinian people. Palestine is not for sale and will never be from now on."

Summit participants categorically rejected Trump's statements, describing them as "Trump's promise to the Jews."

Participants stated that Trump's plan is a crime that defies international law and United Nations resolutions, threatens international peace and security, and fuels colonialism and racism.

Stating that Trump's plan is an extension of the Balfour Declaration, the participants pointed out that this plan "aims to restructure Palestinian geography and demographics in a way that serves the Zionist project."

"WE HAVE NO OPTION BUT RESISTANCE"

Former Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki said in his speech at the summit that Trump's Gaza plan is "absurd."

Stating that dangerous preparations are being made against the Palestinian people with the US plan, Marzouki said, "It is the duty of all of us as intellectuals, politicians, and citizens to support the Palestinian resistance in Gaza and the West Bank. We have no option but resistance."

"WE ARE FACING A NEW NAKBA"

Jawad Fairooz, a former Bahraini parliamentarian and president of the non-governmental organization "Salam for Democracy and Human Rights," drew attention to the exile of the Palestinian people in 1948 and 1967, saying, "Today we are facing a new Nakba. We need to mobilize all legitimate international means to fight this injustice."

"TRUMP'S STATEMENTS ARE ETHNIC CLEANSING AGAINST THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE"

Former Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine Othmani stated that Trump's remarks were "absurd and illegal," adding that they amount to ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people.

TRUMP'S PLAN TO "TAKE OVER" GAZA AND FORCIBLY DISPLACE PALESTINIANS

Trump had said in a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whom he hosted at the White House, that the US would take over the Gaza Strip.

Noting that Gaza is now completely a zone of destruction, Trump argued that it would be much better for Palestinians in Gaza to go to new settlements to be built in neighboring countries, primarily Egypt and Jordan.

Trump had also claimed that Palestinians had no choice but to leave Gaza.
