Araghchi says 'you are at risk' and uses the phrase 'leave the region'

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made a statement following the rising tension between the US and Iran. In a post on his social media account, Araghchi issued a security warning regarding the military assets of foreign countries stationed around the Gulf region. Araghchi said, "Foreign forces near our territory are in constant danger due to the risk of their own human errors, simple accidents, or being caught in potential crossfire. The best way to reduce this risk is for them to leave the region."

Reiterating the remarks made by Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf in the past few hours, Araghchi stated, "We prefer the language of diplomacy, but we can also speak other languages."

In his statement, the Iranian Foreign Minister also added, "The Strait of Hormuz is not international waters; it is located between Iran and Oman, thousands of miles away from the US. The maritime borders are crystal clear. Our powerful armed forces are always on alert against violations of Iran's airspace, land, and sea borders."

Trump had said, "The US must respond to this attack"

US President Donald Trump had claimed yesterday that an attack helicopter belonging to the US military, which crashed near the Strait of Hormuz, was shot down by Iran. In his statement, Trump noted that he had been informed about the matter by the US military, saying, "Last night, the Iranians shot down our highly advanced Apache helicopter patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz. There were two pilots on duty during the incident. Both are safe and did not sustain any injuries."

Trump argued that the US military had to launch an attack on Iran, stating, "The US must respond to this attack."
