One person was slightly injured in an explosion that occurred in front of a clothing store in Cologne, a city in Germany with a large Turkish population.

While police have not yet provided information regarding the explosion that took place on Ehren Street around 05:00, local residents stated that a person in their 40s passing by was slightly injured.

It was observed that the explosion caused significant material damage to the store.

SECOND BOMB ATTACK IN TWO DAYS

In a similar explosion that occurred in Cologne on September 16, a cleaning worker at an entertainment venue owned by a Turk was injured.

Regarding the explosion that occurred on Hohenzollernring Street around 06:00, security camera footage of the building showed a person leaving a box in a bag at the entrance of the building and walking away, with the explosion occurring immediately afterward.

The police, who launched an investigation into the incident, had initiated a search for the suspect whose photos they released and requested help from the public.

ARSON SUSPECTED IN FIRE THAT KILLED TWO TURKS

It has been reported that the prosecutor's office in Germany has launched an investigation into the fire in which Emine Çoban and her son Umut Can Çoban lost their lives, on suspicion of arson.

Brandenburg State Prosecutor's Office Spokesperson Ingo Kechichian, in a statement to RBB television, confirmed that an investigation had been launched on suspicion of arson following the fire in the city of Eberswalde that resulted in the deaths of two Turks, stating, 'We assume that it was not a technical malfunction, but an intentional act that led to the fire.'
