Arrest warrant requested for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu
ICC Prosecutor Karim A. A. Khan has applied for arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. Prosecutor Khan also requested arrest warrants for three Hamas officials, including Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh.
International Criminal Court (ICC) Prosecutor Karim A. A. Khan has requested the issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli and Hamas officials.
In a statement, Prosecutor Khan announced that applications for arrest warrants have been filed for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
Khan also requested the issuance of arrest warrants for Hamas Political Bureau Chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas's leader in Gaza Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Deif.
Prosecutor Khan stated that there are reasonable grounds to believe that all of them bear criminal responsibility for war crimes and crimes against humanity.
