Attack by SDF on Syrian army: 2 dead

The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), the Syrian branch of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG, carried out an attack on army positions around the Tishrin Dam near Aleppo.

"SDF forces targeted a position belonging to the Syrian army near the Tishrin Dam with a guided missile. In the attack, 2 soldiers lost their lives and 1 soldier was wounded," it was stated.

The statement included the expression, "The SDF, ignoring all previous agreements and understandings, targeted army positions and killed our soldiers."

Following high-level talks held in Damascus earlier this month between the two sides, a verbal agreement had been reached and a ceasefire decision had been made.
