Attack on hospital in Gaza
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 13 Palestinians were killed and 26 others were injured as a result of Israel bombing the hospital's entrance and ambulances.
In a written statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, it was stated: "As a result of the attack carried out by the occupation army on ambulances that were going to take a large number of wounded people to Egypt for treatment at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital, 13 people were martyred and 26 people were injured according to initial reports."
Pointing out that the movement of the ambulances that would transport the wounded had been reported to the whole world, the statement included the following:
"We had informed the International Committee of the Red Cross, Egypt, and the entire world about the movement of the ambulances carrying the wounded through communication channels and media, but the occupation committed its crime with all its arrogance."
The statement called for Israel to be held accountable for violating all international laws and agreements that prohibit crimes against medical personnel and ambulances.
In a written statement from the Ministry of Health in Gaza, it was stated that the Israeli army struck the surroundings of Al-Shifa Hospital, Al-Quds Hospital, and the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza.
Ambulances carrying wounded to Rafah Border Crossing struck
Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Gaza, held a press conference at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. Stating that Israel is targeting health workers, Al-Qudra said, "Israel targeted an ambulance convoy moving south to reach the Rafah Border Crossing. There are dead and wounded in the attack."
Stating that the Israeli army also targeted ambulances at two separate points on Al-Rashid Street on the coastal road, Al-Qudra noted that the ambulances in question were also transporting wounded people toward the Rafah Border Crossing.
It was reported that a journalist was among those who lost their lives as a result of Israel bombing the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital and the ambulances.
In a written statement on the subject from the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, it was stated: "Journalist Haitham Harara was martyred in the massacre at the entrance of Al-Shifa Hospital."
According to the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate, with the death of Harara, the number of journalists who have lost their lives in the attacks Israel has been carrying out on Gaza since October 7 has risen to 28.
