Attack on UNIFIL base by Israel
In a statement released by UNIFIL, it was stated that "two excavators and one bulldozer belonging to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) demolished a concrete structure on UNIFIL premises in Ras Naqoura yesterday."
Israel continues its attacks on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). In a statement issued by UNIFIL today, it was reported that "two excavators and one bulldozer belonging to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) demolished a portion of a fence and a concrete structure on UNIFIL premises in Ras Naqoura yesterday."
The statement noted that the IDF denied the attack, adding, "The issue is not about peacekeepers being caught in crossfire, but rather the deliberate and direct actions of the Israeli military. We are also concerned by the destruction of two of the blue barrels marking the withdrawal line established by the UN between Lebanon and Israel this week."
