Attacks on US bases in Syria continue

According to information obtained from local sources, the US military's bases in the Al-Shaddadi district and the Omar oil field in the Deir ez-Zor and Al-Hasakah provinces were targeted with surface-to-surface weapons.

While reports indicate that rockets landed in the vicinity of the bases, there is no information regarding any loss of life.

On October 30, a rocket attack was carried out on the Omar oil field and the Conoco natural gas base where US forces are stationed in Deir ez-Zor. Subsequently, warplanes of unknown origin conducted airstrikes against Iranian-backed groups in the Al-Bukamal district of Deir ez-Zor and the village of Hawijat al-Hasham.

In recent days, bases where the US military is stationed in Syria—including the Al-Tanf region, the Al-Malikiyah district near the Iraqi border, the Al-Shaddadi district in Al-Hasakah province, and Deir ez-Zor province—have been targeted by armed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and surface-to-surface weapons of unknown origin.

The territory of Deir ez-Zor east of the Euphrates River is under the occupation of the US-backed terrorist organization YPG/PKK, while the city center and other rural areas are under the control of the Assad regime and Iranian-backed groups.

Iranian-backed groups occasionally carry out attacks with rockets and UAVs on US bases on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River.

Iran's messages

On October 19, Iranian state television broadcast a report detailing how Israel could be attacked by Tehran's regional allies—which it refers to as "resistance forces"—if Israel does not stop its attacks on Gaza.

The video report showed on a map how Israel would be simultaneously targeted by missiles and drones from the north by Hezbollah, from the east by militia forces in Iraq and Syria, and from the south by the Houthis in Yemen.

Iran has called at the highest level many times for Israel's attacks in Gaza to be stopped.

In a speech on October 17, Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei stated that if Israel's attacks continue, the "resistance forces" would take action.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian also mentioned the possibility of the Israel-Palestine conflict spreading to the region in a statement on October 19.

Iran refers to Lebanese Hezbollah, the militias it supports in Syria and Iraq, and the Houthis in Yemen as "resistance forces."
