Attempted drone attack on Erbil Airport
It has been announced that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was shot down near Erbil International Airport, located in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in Iraq.
As conflicts between Iran, Israel, and the US continue, drone (UAV) attacks continue to occur at various points in Iraq.
Iraqi security sources announced that a UAV approaching Erbil International Airport in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), was detected.
It was reported that after the threat was detected, air defense systems in the region were activated and the UAV was shot down.
While it was stated that there was no loss of life as a result of the attack, it was noted that an investigation into the incident has been launched.
