Ballistic missile attack from Iran to Israel
The Israel Defense Forces announced that a ballistic missile was launched from Iran. Sirens sounded in major Israeli cities, and civilians were instructed to remain in shelters until further notice.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced in a statement on the morning of June 15 that a ballistic missile had been launched from Iran toward Israel. The statement noted that Israeli air defense systems were activated to intercept the target in the air.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CIVILIANS TO TAKE SHELTER
The IDF warned all civilians in central Israel to head to shelters in their areas until further notice. Immediately following this announcement, warning sirens sounded in many cities, most notably Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem.
The sirens indicate that the alarm system designed to protect the public against a potential missile strike is active.
AIR DEFENSE ACTIVATED
Israel's "Iron Dome" and other air defense systems have been activated against the incoming threat. The military stated that the defense systems have initiated an "in-air interception" process to neutralize the missile and are working to prevent potential damage.
