Bank's call to hackers: '$5,500 reward if you can hack us'

Sberbank has launched a reward program for ethical hackers, known as "white hats," to identify security vulnerabilities. According to a report by Nezavisimaya Gazeta, the bank announced that it will award up to 500,000 rubles (approximately $5,500) to researchers who identify critical security vulnerabilities.

Under the program, security vulnerabilities will be sought in Sberbank's website, SberInvest mobile applications, and Sberbank Online services.

According to the report on Türkrus, researchers will attempt to identify potential threats to payment transactions, risks of user data leaks, and weaknesses in authentication systems. Additionally, vulnerabilities that could allow unauthorized access to critical functions in mobile applications and other digital services will also be examined.
