Bill Gates admits to 'mistake' regarding Epstein: 'It was a stupidity'

Following the announcement by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that more than 3 million new documents have been released to the public as part of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, the correspondence in the files has returned to the agenda.

One of the prominent topics in the documents was the assessments Epstein made regarding Bill Gates.

In an interview with the Australia-based 9 News, Gates made statements regarding his name appearing in the Epstein documents and the allegations made against him.

“IT WAS A DEAD END”

Stating that he met Epstein in 2011, Gates said they came together for several dinners over about three years. Regarding the content of these meetings, Gates said, “The focus was always on him knowing very rich people and saying he could get money from them for global health. Looking back, it was a dead end.”

DESCRIBED TIME SPENT WITH EPSTEIN AS “STUPIDITY”

Describing his contacts with Epstein as “stupidity,” Gates expressed regret over the relationship.

When reminded of the allegations in the recently released documents, Gates made the following assessment: “It looks like Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. This email was never sent. The email is wrong. So I don't know what he was thinking there. Was he trying to attack me in some way? But every minute I spent with him reminds me of this; I regret it and I apologize for doing it.”

It had been reported that some emails in the investigation files contained allegations that Gates tried to hide a sexually transmitted disease from his then-wife, Melinda, following his affairs with “Russian girls.”

Jeffrey Epstein, who was on trial on charges of sexual abuse and running a sex trafficking ring involving numerous girls under the age of 18, the youngest being 14, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019.

The publicly released court documents showed that names such as Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson were included.

The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as a result of the investigation conducted with the Department of Justice, announced that no concrete evidence had been found regarding the existence of a “client list” consisting of famous names; it announced that it had concluded that he committed suicide in his cell, contrary to claims that Epstein was murdered to cover up the truth.
