Bill Gates' defense in the Epstein case revealed! 'It was a huge mistake...'
Microsoft founder Bill Gates, in his testimony to the House Oversight Committee as part of the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, stated that he never visited Epstein's properties and did not have a personal relationship with him, saying, "I never went to his island, his ranch, or his house in Florida. I never victimized anyone. Although he tried to establish a personal relationship with me, I had no such interest and never responded to those efforts."
Microsoft founder and billionaire Bill Gates voluntarily testified before the House Oversight Committee as part of the case regarding Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of running a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls and was found dead in prison. Speaking at the opening of the closed-door session, Gates said he never witnessed Epstein's illegal activities.
Gates stated, "I never went to his island, his ranch, or his house in Florida. I never victimized anyone. Although he tried to establish a personal relationship with me, I had no such interest and never responded to those efforts."
"EPSTEIN WANTED TO USE ME FOR HIS OWN INTERESTS"
Explaining that he first met Epstein in 2011, Gates noted that at the time, Epstein claimed he could provide billions of dollars in funding for global health projects.
Gates said, "I knew Epstein had previously had some legal issues, but I did not fully understand the severity of the crimes he committed. He tried to use our meetings for his own personal gain. I should not have met with Epstein from the very beginning. Meeting with him was a huge mistake."
Stating that he tried to distance himself from Epstein, Gates later alleged that Epstein tried to pressure him by using information about his private life.
Gates remarked, "In addition to the many lies he fabricated, Epstein was trying to pressure me to reconnect with him by using information about my past infidelities."
Expressing his hope that his testimony to the committee would contribute to the search for justice for Epstein's victims, Gates said, "I hope the victims of Epstein's crimes get the justice they deserve."
BILL GATES' NAME HAD ALSO APPEARED IN THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN FILE
American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein was arrested on charges of running a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls between 2002 and 2005. It was announced that Epstein, who was found dead in prison, had committed suicide.
In the millions of pages of investigation documents shared with the public by the US Department of Justice, it was seen that Gates' name was mentioned and that there were photographs of him taken with Epstein.
Gates, who had previously denied accusations regarding his relationship with Epstein, had stated that he was not involved in any illegal activity and was unaware of Epstein's criminal actions.
