Bizarre burglary in Wales: Broke into a house, cooked a meal, and left a note

In an incident that occurred in Wales, a 36-year-old man named Damian Wojnilowicz broke into a house as a burglar, cooked a meal, hung out laundry, and left a note for the homeowner that read, "eat, be happy, don't worry." 

The woman, who noticed upon returning home that the trash had been taken out and items had been put away in cupboards, stated that she was afraid to stay in her home after the incident and lived with a friend for a while. 

It was learned that Wojnilowicz had previously entered homes for the purpose of burglary, where he would take showers, eat, prepare meals for the homeowners, and tidy up the houses.

While it was stated in court that the man was homeless and going through a difficult period, Wojnilowicz, who pleaded guilty to the burglary charges, was sentenced to 22 months in prison by Cardiff Crown Court.

Judge Christian Jowett emphasized that the events were a "serious and direct interference" with the homeowners' properties.

It was also learned that Wojnilowicz had a prior criminal record for offenses including assault, public order offenses, and failure to surrender.
