The emergency exit door of a "Boeing 737 MAX 9" passenger plane, which took off on the evening of January 5 to fly from Oregon to California, blew off 20 minutes after takeoff.
Boeing CEO Dave Calhoun stated that the company admits its fault.
According to a report by the BBC, Calhoun said, "We're going to approach this, number one, acknowledging our mistake. We're going to approach it with 100 percent and complete transparency every step of the way."

Dave Calhoun also conveyed that the company will cooperate with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) during the investigation process.
Officials conducting the investigation revealed that Alaska Airlines had placed restrictions on the aircraft due to pressure warnings a few days before the accident.
