EPICENTER OFF THE COAST OF PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 111 kilometers east of the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on the peninsula. It was reported that the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 39.5 kilometers.
AN 8.8 MAGNITUDE EARTHQUAKE HAD OCCURRED PREVIOUSLY
According to USGS data, another tremor with a magnitude of 8.8 had occurred in the region on July 30.
