It was reported that a new wave of missiles was launched by Iran toward Israel in the morning hours. At the same time, it was reported that sounds of explosions were heard in the city of Tabriz in northwestern Iran. Local sources claimed that the explosions occurred near a military facility.

The Israeli military claimed that Iran's top security chief, Ali Shadmani, had been killed. In the official statement, it was stated that Shadmani was targeted in an airstrike on a headquarters located in Tehran.

The statement included the following:

"The wartime chief of staff, who was the most senior military commander of the Iranian regime, has been eliminated. In line with precise intelligence and an operational opportunity obtained at night, fighter jets belonging to the Israeli Air Force bombed a military facility in the heart of Tehran, and the target was successfully destroyed. The target of the attack was Ali Shadmani, one of the names closest to Iranian leader Ali Khamenei."

Despite the claims of Israeli sources, no official statement has been made by Iran regarding the matter.
