Breaking News: Israeli far-right minister resigns

Israel's far-right Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir has resigned from the government.

Ben-Gvir, the leader of the Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party, had stated in recent days that he would withdraw from the coalition government if it accepted a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

ISRAEL ATTACKED GAZA

Minutes before the ceasefire, which was announced to take effect today at 08:30 local time, Israel began attacks on Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu had announced that the ceasefire would not begin until Hamas provided the list of hostages to be released.

Hamas had reported that the delay in question was due to technical issues.

Israel's Channel 12 television announced that Hamas had provided the hostage list. Hamas announced that it had disclosed the names of three female hostages to be released.
