British MP files complaint against Israel

Webbe announced during a session attended by MPs in the UK Parliament that she had filed a formal complaint with the ICC, calling for the investigation and prosecution of the Israeli government for war crimes committed against the Palestinian people, including genocide and crimes against humanity.

MP Webbe emphasized that she would not be complicit in Israel's war crimes or the atrocities it commits against Palestine every day, and touched upon the scale of the destruction caused by Israel's bombardment of Gaza.

Stating that Israel's attacks have resulted in the deaths of more than 20 thousand civilians, at least 10 thousand of whom are children, and left countless others disabled, Webbe said, "The number of those dying from hunger and disease will only get worse as Israel allows only a fraction of the aid needed by the people of Gaza, and the United Nations (UN) cannot distribute aid effectively because most of its trucks have been destroyed."

Claudia Webbe pointed out that more than 150 UN personnel have also been killed in Israel's attacks, and reminded that the Israeli government blames the UN for the situation, uses humanitarian aid as a weapon of war, and that Israeli ministers have even suggested dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza.

"I WILL NOT BE COMPLICIT"

Stating that she has received more than 6 thousand letters and emails from her constituents calling for an immediate ceasefire, Webbe expressed that she has comforted many people who lost their families under the rubble and are desperately worried about their loved ones and friends in Gaza, and that she will not remain silent.

British MP Webbe said, "Collective punishment is a war crime, the forced transfer of a population is a war crime, indiscriminate bombing and the use of white phosphorus on civilians, which has now also been confirmed by Amnesty International, is a war crime. I will not be complicit."

Webbe emphasized that she signed the formal complaint to the ICC because those responsible must be held accountable, and invited her colleagues in the UK Parliament to act in the same way.
