British press reports: UK Prime Minister to send 30,000 troops to Ukraine

According to claims in the British press, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has begun contacts to send a 30,000-strong peacekeeping force composed of European soldiers to Ukraine next week. It was noted that Starmer, who has been in talks with European leaders, has met with Zelensky to deploy the unit, which would consist primarily of British soldiers, to Ukraine.

Claiming that Russia will attack Ukraine in the 'future' as well, the UK believes that troops should be deployed in Eastern Europe against the possibility of a potential war. British officials, who are conducting talks with Poland and Baltic countries regarding military cooperation, also attended the summit in Paris organized by French President Emmanuel Macron to discuss 'Ukraine and Trump'.

According to a report by The Telegraph, Starmer will present his plan to send a 30,000-strong European peacekeeping force to Ukraine next week to Trump. The report highlighted that Starmer aims to include the US in the plan as well. Trump has previously expressed positive views regarding peacekeeping efforts in Europe.

Meanwhile, Starmer made the following statement on his X account regarding the US stance toward Ukraine and the European Union (EU):

'We are facing a once-in-a-generation moment for the collective security of our continent. It is time for all of us to step up.'

According to the newspaper's sources, Starmer will also demand that the US commit to providing fighter jets and missiles to 'countries under attack' should Russia violate a future peace agreement. Russia has stated that the presence of troops belonging to NATO countries in Ukraine, even under a different flag, is unacceptable.
