British Prince begins flying: He is only 11 years old

12PUNTO FOREIGN NEWS

11-year-old Prince George of the United Kingdom, who is expected to be king in the future, completed his first flight last week on the final day of his school break. The flight, which took place at an airfield in Berkshire, England, was followed by family members and members of the press.

George's father, Prince William, who is first in line to the throne, and his mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, were among those watching their son George's flight.

Princess Catherine, who is undergoing cancer treatment, announced earlier this week that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment.

An official who observed the flight in Berkshire told the British press that 'Prince George loves flying very much, and that although George is only 11 years old, it is the right time to start learning this skill.'

A flight instructor accompanied Prince George while he operated the aircraft.

Prince George's great-grandfather, Prince Philip, also received training at the Berkshire airfield.

The 11-year-old British Prince is expected to ascend to the throne after his father, William. William is currently first in the line of succession for the royal title.
