Burglary at Trump's campaign office
A burglary occurred at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign office in Virginia.
A burglary occurred at the campaign office of Republican presidential candidate and former US President Donald Trump, located in Ashburn, Virginia.
Authorities stated that the burglary took place at an office rented by Trump's campaign, which also serves as the headquarters for the Republican Committee of Virginia's 10th District, and noted that they are investigating whether the suspect stole anything.
Police indicated that security camera footage shows the suspect forcing entry into the office and walking around inside. It was reported that the suspect was wearing dark clothing, a hat, and carrying a backpack.
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a statement, "It is rare for an office of any political campaign or party to be broken into. We are committed to identifying the suspect, investigating the motive behind the incident, and determining what may have been stolen or left behind."
While the investigation into the incident continues, Trump's campaign team has not yet issued a statement regarding the matter.
