In the mayoral election held in New York, Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani has become New York's first Muslim mayor, receiving 50.6 percent of the vote according to unofficial results. Voting concluded at 9:00 PM local time, and 83 percent of the votes have been counted.

Mamdani won the election by a margin of approximately 9 points over his closest rival, independent candidate Andrew Cuomo. While Cuomo's vote share remained at 41.4 percent, Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa received 7.3 percent of the vote. With this victory, 34-year-old Mamdani has achieved a first in New York's history.

In the gubernatorial election in New Jersey, Democrat Mikie Sherrill secured victory with 57 percent of the vote. Her Republican opponent, Jack Ciattarelli, remained at 42.5 percent despite the support of US President Donald Trump. In Virginia, Democrat Abigail Spanberger finished the gubernatorial race in the lead, receiving 56.1 percent of the vote. Republican candidate Winsome Earle-Sears received 43.7 percent of the vote.
