Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke with Trump and Biden separately by phone.

According to a statement from the Israeli Prime Minister's Office, Netanyahu thanked Trump and Biden for their assistance in reaching the ceasefire and hostage exchange agreement.

Netanyahu conveyed his thanks to Trump for "helping to secure the release of the hostages and end the suffering of their families."

It was also stated that the two agreed to meet in Washington, the capital of the United States, to discuss the agreement and other matters.

In his phone call with Biden, Netanyahu thanked the US President for his help in reaching the hostage exchange agreement.

CEASEFIRE AND HOSTAGE EXCHANGE AGREEMENT IN GAZA

US President-elect Donald Trump had announced that an agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas for a ceasefire in Gaza.

In his statement, Donald Trump said, "A deal has been reached in the Middle East regarding the hostages (ceasefire in Gaza). They will be released shortly. Thank you."

Qatar had announced that an agreement had been reached between Israel and Hamas on a ceasefire and hostage exchange in Gaza, and that implementation would begin on Sunday, January 19.
