No statement has yet been made by the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the meeting. In a statement yesterday, Netanyahu announced that he had instructed for negotiations with Lebanon to begin "as soon as possible" with the aim of disarming Hezbollah and reaching a comprehensive peace agreement between the two countries.
