Ceasefire violation in Aleppo countryside: YPG attacks resume
While the ceasefire agreement in northern Syria remains in place, it has been announced that the YPG has resumed its bombardment of areas near Aleppo. No casualties or injuries were reported in the attacks.
The Syria Civil Defense unit announced in a statement that the terrorist organization YPG has launched new attacks on settlements in the northern countryside of Aleppo province. Civil Defense officials, sharing information via their Telegram channel, stated that the village of Al-Hawi, located in the Jarabulus district west of the Euphrates River in northern Aleppo, was targeted.
According to the information provided, a missile fired from the Ayn al-Arab region struck a house in the village. While civil defense teams conducted inspections at the scene, it was also reported that no civilians lost their lives or were injured as a result of the attack.
The Syrian Ministry of Defense had recently announced to the public that the ceasefire agreement with the terrorist organization YPG had been extended for another 15 days, effective from 23:00 on January 24.
Officials had pointed out that the extension was brought to the agenda due to the United States' operation to transport ISIS detainees from prisons held by the YPG to Iraq.
