CENTCOM: 2 US soldiers killed in Iran's attacks in Jordan, 1 soldier missing
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that 2 US soldiers lost their lives and 1 soldier is missing following Iran's attacks on US military assets in Jordan.
As tensions between the US and Iran escalate, the US Central Command announced that 2 US soldiers lost their lives and 1 soldier is missing following Iran's attacks on US military assets in Jordan.
In a statement from CENTCOM, it was stated, "On July 17, as CENTCOM and allied forces continued their defense against Iranian ballistic missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks, 2 US soldiers lost their lives in the attacks on Jordan. In addition, 1 soldier is currently missing."
The statement noted that 4 US soldiers injured in the attacks were discharged after receiving treatment at hospitals in Jordan. It was also reported that some military personnel, who were assessed to have sustained minor injuries, have returned to duty.
CENTCOM announced that further information, including the identities of the deceased soldiers, will be shared within 24 hours after their families have been notified.
