For decades, the Iranian regime has harassed and attacked international maritime shipping in the Gulf of Oman. Those days are now behind us. Freedom of navigation has been the foundation of the economic prosperity of the U.S. and the world for over 80 years. U.S. forces will continue to defend it."
The U.S. military also stated that more than 1,250 targets have been struck to date as part of Operation Epic Fury, which was launched against Iran on February 28.
