Centcom: We struck Iran from the air

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that they conducted an operation against military targets in Iran following an attack on the Singapore-flagged commercial vessel M/V Ever Lovely, which was passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

In the statement released by CENTCOM, it was reported that missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) storage areas in Iran, as well as coastal radar bases, were struck.

The statement noted that the operation was carried out in response to the attack on the commercial vessel navigating the Strait of Hormuz, and stated that the targeted facilities were components of Iran's military capacity.

Statement from the United States Central Command:

The U.S. military struck missile and UAV depots and coastal radar facilities in Iran in response to Iran's attack on a commercial vessel yesterday.

Iran's attack on the commercial vessel is a clear violation of the ceasefire and a threat to freedom of navigation.

U.S. forces continue to support the safe passage of commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz and remain on alert in the region for the full implementation of the agreement made with Iran.
