CHANGE IN THE WAR CABINET
Israel Katz has been appointed to the seat vacated by Cohen, who will continue to serve in the war cabinet. Cohen will be able to serve as foreign minister in 2026 if the current government remains in power.
Meanwhile, the Israeli government has given the green light for the postponed municipal elections to be held in February, though the decision will need to be approved by the Israeli parliament, the Knesset.
