China: '245% tariff further exposes US bullying tactics'
The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the 245% additional customs duty imposed by the US on China further exposes the US's bullying tactics.
In a statement published on the official White House website on April 15, it was stated that tariffs on certain Chinese products were increased to 245% by the US, citing China's retaliatory measures as the reason.
In a statement made today by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, it was noted that the excessively high customs duties of the US have now turned into a numbers game, and it was emphasized that Washington has turned customs duties into an economic weapon and a tool of pressure.
On the other hand, the statement pointed out that there will be no winner in tariff and trade wars, and stated the following:
"China does not want to enter a war, but it is not afraid of one either. If the US continues to use tariffs like a numbers game, China will no longer ignore it. If the US continues to violate China's legitimate rights and interests, China will definitely take countermeasures and fight to the end."
