China introduces visa exemption for tourist groups arriving on large cruise ships
It has been reported that China will provide visa-free entry to port cities for tourist groups arriving in the country on large cruise ships.
According to a statement from the National Immigration Administration of China, tourist groups organized by Chinese agencies will be able to enter 13 port cities where cruise ships dock without a visa.
The port cities that can be visited visa-free include Tianjin, Dalian, and Qingdao on the northern coast; Shanghai, Lianyungang, Wenzhou, Zhoushan, and Xiamen on the eastern coast; and Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beihai, Haikou, and Sanya on the southern coast.
The visa exemption will be limited to the duration of the ship's stay at the port and will not exceed 15 days.
