Cholera outbreak continues to claim lives in Sudan: Death toll rises to 348

In a statement made by the Sudanese Ministry of Health, it was stated that the cholera outbreak has spread to 9 states in the country and the total number of cases has risen to 11 thousand 79.

The statement noted that the number of people who have lost their lives due to cholera has reached 348.

Pointing out that there is a suspicion of dengue fever in 5 states of the country, the statement reported that 2 people have lost their lives due to this suspected disease.

The rains and floods that have been effective in Sudan since June have led to the spread of cholera. Sudanese authorities declared cholera an epidemic on August 12.

In Sudan, where the war continues, the spread of epidemic diseases during this period when the health system is not working effectively makes people's lives even more difficult.
