Old documents released by the CIA have sparked debates over whether the sacred Ark of the Covenant has been found. A classified file from 1988 shows that an claim was made that the ark had been detected in the Middle East using a method called 'remote viewing'.
In the document prepared under the Sun Streak Project, the observations made by operator number 32 were detailed. The operator claimed that a wooden object inlaid with gold and silver was hidden underground. It was noted that there were mummies and angel figures surrounding the object.
THE ARK WHERE THE TEN COMMANDMENTS TABLETS ARE KEPT
The documents included a warning that the ark could only be opened by authorized individuals. It was stated that unauthorized attempts could lead to dangerous consequences. Experts working with this technique attempted to determine the location of objects without physical contact.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, retired officer Joe McMoneagle, who served in the project, approached the claims with caution. McMoneagle emphasized that such claims cannot be verified without concrete evidence. The scientific validity of the remote viewing method continues to be a subject of debate.
The Ark of the Covenant is described in the Bible as the sacred object where the tablets of the Ten Commandments given to Moses were kept. Archaeology experts have expressed differing views regarding the reality of the ark. While some experts argue that the ark is merely a myth, there are also archaeologists who state that legends and facts overlap and that the ark could be real.
