CIA seeks new spies in other countries via the 'dark web': Dollar rewards for classified information

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has announced that it is seeking new informants by reaching out to people in Iran, China, and North Korea via the internet. The CIA has also taken a series of measures to ensure that individuals in these countries can apply to become spies 'securely.'

The agency has shared brochures on social media platforms and the Dark Web demonstrating how citizens can communicate with them.

According to a Reuters report, in addition to its expanding network of informants in Russia, the CIA is now reaching out to individuals in China, Iran, and North Korea as well. 

THEY EXPLAINED WAYS TO CONTACT THE CIA VIA A YOUTUBE VIDEO

The brochures were prepared in various languages and informed users about secure communication channels. The CIA states that it has reached many people in Russia using similar methods.

In a video shared on YouTube, the ways to contact the CIA via secure Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) and the TOR network were explained to individuals in Mandarin.

The video emphasized that the safety and well-being of informants are a priority. The CIA promises potential informants monetary rewards if they share classified information from their respective countries.

CHINA LABELED IT A 'PERCEPTION OPERATION'

Chinese Embassy spokesperson Liu Pengyu accused the U.S. of conducting an 'organized perception operation.' 

Pengyu argued that these initiatives would fail. The Russian and Iranian embassies have not yet made an official statement on the matter.

According to Reuters, the deepening cooperation between China, Iran, and Russia has further incentivized the CIA's global intelligence-gathering efforts.
