Claim from Israeli state television: US working to establish a humanitarian corridor from Gaza to Egypt

According to a report by Israel's state television KAN, the Washington administration has begun preparations in the last 24 hours to establish a humanitarian corridor via Egypt, in coordination with other countries, to evacuate Palestinians and those holding US citizenship from the Gaza Strip.

These preparations come at a time when predictions that Israel will launch a ground operation into the Gaza Strip are increasing.

The report did not provide detailed information regarding which Palestinians would be permitted to evacuate from the Gaza Strip or where they would be settled after reaching Egypt.

An official from the US Embassy in Israel stated to KAN that they "could not speak on behalf of the Egyptians, but were confident that they would allow it."

There has been no official statement from Egypt on the matter yet.

- ISRAEL-PALESTINE CONFLICT

The Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, launched a comprehensive attack on Israel on the morning of October 7, dubbed "Al-Aqsa Flood."

While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel, Palestinian armed groups raided and seized the Beit Hanoun-Erez Border Crossing on the Gaza-Israel border.

The armed groups then entered settlements inside Israel from there, and the Israeli army launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of fighter jets.

It was reported that 1,200 Israelis lost their lives and 2,806 people were injured, 106 of them seriously, in the attacks launched from Gaza.

It was also reported that 950 people lost their lives and 5,000 people were injured in Israel's attacks on Gaza.

In the occupied West Bank, 21 people lost their lives and approximately 130 people were injured in attacks by Israeli soldiers.
