Claim: 'Israel's War Cabinet approves project for alternative government to Hamas in Gaza'
It has been alleged that Israel's War Cabinet has approved a "pilot" project that includes the establishment of a government alternative to Hamas in Gaza.
In a report by Israeli state television KAN, it was stated that the War Cabinet, in its latest meeting, approved a project to establish an alternative government to Hamas, which is supported by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant.
It was reported that the pilot project would cover many neighborhoods in northern Gaza, that the Israeli army would undertake protection duties in these areas, and that the presence of a local administration would be permitted.
It was also noted that the project includes facilitating the entry of aid into neighborhoods in northern Gaza and assisting local leaders there in governance.
There has been no statement from Hamas regarding the matter yet.
Previously, there have been many reports in the Israeli press that the Tel Aviv administration plans to establish an alternative government to Hamas in Gaza through international institutions and parties.
