Claims that Israel will resume ground attacks on Gaza

Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper reported that Israeli officials have made assessments regarding Hamas's delay in releasing the hostages expected to be handed over today.

IS THE GROUND ATTACK RESUMING?

It was alleged that unnamed Israeli security officials threatened to resume the ground offensive against the Gaza Strip if Hamas does not release the hostages by midnight.

HAMAS HAD NOT RELEASED THE HOSTAGES

The report included the statement from the aforementioned officials: "Hamas is aware that if the hostages are not released by midnight, the Israeli army will continue its ground operation in the Gaza Strip."

Hamas's armed wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, had announced that they were delaying the release of Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip until Israel complies with the terms of the agreement regarding the release of prisoners and the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into the northern Gaza Strip.
