Claims that the US will withdraw all its forces from Syria
Reports in the US press have claimed that the US will withdraw all of its approximately 1,000 troops currently in Syria.
As the US continues to hand over many of the bases where it is stationed in Syria to the Syrian army, it has been claimed that the US will withdraw all of its forces from Syria.
In reports citing three unnamed US officials, the US press has alleged that the US will withdraw all of its approximately 1,000 troops currently in Syria.
The reports stated that the process for the withdrawal of all troops is ongoing and that the US is expected to complete the withdrawal within the next two months.
The US had previously withdrawn from the Shaddadi and Al-Tanf bases
The US military recently handed over the strategic Shaddadi Base in the countryside of Al-Hasakah, as well as the strategic Al-Tanf Military Base located at the intersection of the Syrian, Iraqi, and Jordanian borders, to the Syrian army.
