'Cold weather' adjustment for Trump's inauguration

Trump made a statement regarding the inauguration ceremony on the social media platform Truth Social.

Stating, "Even before taking office, it is my duty to think about the inauguration and protect the people of our country," Trump drew attention to weather forecast reports indicating that the air temperature in Washington D.C. would drop significantly on the day of the ceremony, exacerbated by wind chill.

Trump remarked, "There is an Arctic cold blast sweeping across the country. I do not want anyone to be hurt or injured in any way. There are dangerous conditions for the tens of thousands of law enforcement officers, first responders, police dogs, and even horses, as well as the hundreds of thousands of supporters who would be outside for hours on January 20."

Noting that the prayers and opening speeches at the ceremony will be held in the Rotunda inside the U.S. Capitol building due to the cold weather conditions, Trump stated that this would be a very beautiful experience for everyone, especially for the large TV audience.

Trump noted that there are no changes to the events other than the daytime inauguration ceremony on January 20, and warned, "In any case, those planning to attend the inauguration should dress warmly."

A Victory Rally will be held at the Capital One Arena at 3:00 PM on the day before the inauguration ceremony, which will take place at noon on January 20, and three separate inaugural balls will be held on the evening of the inauguration day.

The last time an inauguration ceremony was held inside the Rotunda of the Capitol building in the U.S. was in 1985, due to extreme cold weather conditions during former President Ronald Reagan's inauguration.
