Communication and internet services cut for the 6th time in Gaza

Clashes between Palestinian resistance organizations and Israeli forces, which began with Hamas's Al-Aqsa Flood operation on October 7, are continuing. Israel, which resumed its attacks immediately after the "humanitarian pause" ended on December 1, has killed and wounded many people in air and artillery strikes on various points in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

According to reports from the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, at least 4 people were killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on the Abu Nasr family's home in the west of Khan Yunis. It was also noted that many people were killed and wounded due to Israeli artillery strikes on several neighborhoods in the city of Khan Yunis.

Many people were killed and wounded after Israeli warplanes bombed a residential area near the Kuwait Hospital in Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip. The dead and wounded were taken to the Martyr Abu Yusuf al-Najjar Hospital in the city. Israeli warplanes also wounded many people in attacks on residential areas in Deir al-Balah and Jabalia.

In its statement, Jawwal announced that as of yesterday evening, there was a "complete blackout" of communication and internet services in the Gaza Strip.

Stating that this is the sixth interruption the company's services have faced since the beginning of the war, the statement said, "We regret to announce that all communication and internet services in the Gaza Strip have been completely cut off due to the ongoing attacks."

The Ooredoo company announced that the interruption in communication services in the south and center of the Gaza Strip was the sixth such disruption the company's services have faced since the start of the attacks. The statement noted that as of yesterday, with the continuation of Israeli attacks, communication services in the south and central parts of the Gaza Strip had stopped, while they continued partially in the north. Both companies noted that efforts are underway to restore communication as soon as possible. In the Gaza Strip, which has been under blockade for years and suffers from poor conditions, water, food, medicine, electricity, and fuel supplies have been cut off by Israel's attacks since October 7, and landline, mobile phone, and internet communication services are also frequently interrupted. In a written statement issued by the Media Office of the government in Gaza, it was stated, "Since the beginning of the war of genocide against our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army has been deliberately cutting off communication and internet networks with the Gaza Strip." The statement called for an immediate and urgent halt to the brutal attacks against the Palestinian people.
